The Hong Kong Offshore LNG Receiving Terminal, jointly developed and constructed by CLP Power and HongKong Electric, east of the Soko Islands in Hong Kong, commenced construction in 2020 and commissioned in July 2023. It is the first of its kind in Hong Kong with floating storage regasification technology. The Bauhinia Spirit, the world's largest floating storage regasification vessel with a LNG storage capacity of 263,000 cubic metres, is permanently moored at the terminal to receive, store and regasify LNG. The receiving station is equipped with two subsea gas pipelines to transport natural gas to CLP Longkwu Tan Power Station and HEC Lamma Power Station respectively.

COOEC is one of the main contractors of this project, and has chosen VSP (Visual Intelligent Project Management Platform) from EPC Solutions for the project life cycle software since 2020. In the process, 13 functional modules of VSPwere used, and the VSP application was highly praised by the project owner.
